TRANSLATION No. 1000/158/2009 September 16, 2009 Subject : Advance in operation of HCU of the Refinery Attention : President of The Stock Exchange of Thailand On May 21, 2009, The Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited (the "Company") informed that the Hydrocracking Unit, a part of the Product Quality Improvement Project (PQI), was shutdown to repair the pump and valve control system damaged during the commissioning process. Presently, the control system equipments have been changed. The Hydrocracking Unit has been in operating for a while, and it can continue normal operations and refine crude feed as planned.
