(Translation) 1600 / 049 / 2001 July 25 , 2001 The Stock Exchange of Thailand 62, Ratchadapisek Road, Klongtoey Bangkok 10110 Attention : President of The Stock Exchange of Thailand Subject : Disclosure of Information of Listed Company Concerning the Resignation of Director Reference : Letter of The Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited No. 1600 / 047 / 2544 dated July 24, 2001 to the President of the Stock Exchange of Thailand Whereas The Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited has made clarification of the facts as per the above-referenced letter, and the Stock Exchange of Thailand has asked the Company to make additional clarification in respect of the resignation of Mr. Sirichai Sakornratanakul, the Company's Managing Director. The Company would like to provide further clarification as follows: In the Meeting of the Company's Board of Directors on May 29, 2001, the Company's Managing Director indicated his intention to resign. The Board of Directors' Meeting asked the Managing Director to perform his duties until the Recruiting Committee under the Act Prescribing Standard Qualifications for Directors and Officers of State Enterprises B.E. 2518 can find his substitute. The Managing Director then agreed to hold his office until the Recruiting Committee can find his substitute. Please be informed accordingly.
