In compliance with this regulation, The Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited would like to file herewith its Financial Statements and Auditors Report for the period ending December 31, 1997 with endorsement from the Board of directors of company on February 23,1998 During the year 1997, the company achieved a total sale revenue of 39,291 million baht, which is an increase of 19% from the year 1996 of 33,104 million baht. The operating profit for the year 1997 (before +Extraordinary Items") was 1,409 million baht. However after accounting for the +Extraordinary Items", which comprised a +one time" booking in 1997 of total foreign exchange loss due to the +Manged Float" of the baht, the company reported a net loss for this period ending of 3,785 million baht.
