Bangchak Honors Outstanding Oil-Tanker Operators with Safety Awards
Mr. Wattana Opanon-amata, First Senior Executive Vice President, Refinery Business, Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited, has recently presented 2014 Safety Awards to outstanding oil-tanker operators in recognition of their compliance with oil-transportation safety standards, zero-accident records, and ability to keep oil loss at no more than 0.22 per cent of transported oil volume. The award-presentation ceremony is held at the Bangchak Refinery to boost safety awareness and also to motivate oil-tanker operators to constantly improve their ships, increase their efficiency, and minimize accidents.
Bangchak Petroleum Public Company Limited has handed out a total of six Safety Awards in 2014. Of them, four go to B.P.P. 33, P.R. Inter 1, V.L. 8, and Yaseetang for their safety records. Two awards are for the oil loss of no more than 0.22 per cent of transported oil volume, and they go to B.P.P. 33 (0.22%) and P.R. Inter 1 (0.16%).
